How Payment Schedules Work
Professional Pool Company — Clear, Milestone-Based Payment Structure
To keep your project organized and predictable, we use a milestone-based payment schedule. This means you only make payments as major phases of construction are completed. This system protects you, keeps the project moving smoothly, and ensures every step is completed before the next one begins.
Below is a breakdown of each payment stage and what is included.
⭐ 1. Overview of Our Payment Schedule
Your payment plan is structured as follows:
- 10% — Initial Deposit
- 40% — After Dig (Excavation) Completion
- 20% — After Plumbing & Steel
- 20% — After Deck Installation
- 10% — Final Payment at Project Completion
Each milestone is tied directly to real progress on your pool.
⭐ 2. 10% Initial Deposit — Project Start-Up
This deposit allows us to begin all upfront tasks, including:
✔ Engineering
✔ Permit preparation and submission
✔ Dig scheduling
✔ Material planning
✔ Project file setup
✔ Design finalizations (if needed)
No physical construction begins yet, but the deposit starts the full backend process that gets your project ready for excavation.
⭐ 3. 40% Milestone — After Dig (Excavation)
This payment is due once excavation is complete.
At this stage:
- Your pool is excavated to the engineered shape
- Access paths are established
- Dirt is hauled away
- Elevations are verified
- The site is prepared for steel and plumbing
- Layout is staked and confirmed
Excavation is one of the largest physical components of the project — this milestone reflects the significant work and equipment cost completed at this stage.
⭐ 4. 20% Milestone — After Plumbing & Steel
This payment is due after the following are completed:
- Full rebar (steel) installation
- All pool plumbing lines
- Spa plumbing (if applicable)
- Main drains
- Equipment pad stub-outs
- Bonding & electrical rough-in
- Gas line rough-in (if applicable)
This is the phase that prepares your pool shell for gunite. It includes highly skilled labor and all internal infrastructure that makes the pool functional.
⭐ 5. Gunite Phase (No Payment Due)
Gunite is completed between milestone payments.
There is no direct payment at this step because the previous milestone covers preparation, and the next milestone covers finishing phases.
You will see:
- Full concrete shell
- Steps, benches, sunshelf
- Spa structure
- Bond beam formation
This is a major visual milestone but remains between payment stages to keep your schedule simple.
⭐ 6. 20% Milestone — After Deck Installation
This payment is due after your decking is installed.
This typically includes:
- Pavers, concrete, or travertine
- Footers for screen enclosure (if applicable)
- Deck drains
- Expansion joints
- Grade adjustments
- Site cleanup
Decking is one of the most labor-intensive components of your build, which is why it is tied to a milestone.
⭐ 7. 10% Final Payment — At Project Completion
The final payment is due only when:
✔ Your project is fully completed
✔ Final walkthrough is done
✔ All systems are tested
✔ Interior finish + startup are complete
✔ Screen (if applicable) is installed
✔ Equipment is running correctly
✔ You receive your training & orientation
This is your final sign-off after everything is finished.
⭐ 8. Why We Use a Milestone-Based Payment Schedule
Our payment structure is designed to be:
✔ Fair — You only pay as work is completed
✔ Clear — No surprises or hidden charges
✔ Safe — Both parties are protected
✔ Predictable — You always know what’s coming next
✔ Aligned with construction stages
Each payment corresponds with real, visible progress.
⭐ 9. Payment Methods Accepted
We accept:
- Bank transfers
- Checks
- Cashier’s checks
- Financing (if applicable)
Receipts and updated statements are sent after each payment.
⭐ 10. Summary: Simple, Transparent Payment Process
Our schedule ensures:
✔ You are never paying ahead of work
✔ You always see progress before paying
✔ The project stays organized
✔ Each step is verified before moving forward
It’s a straightforward system that keeps construction on track and transparent.
